DESCRIPTION:43.61 \n(a) An Instructor on a probationary appointment shall be reviewed by their Academic Unit by 31 October of the final year of the appointment. Instructors who have been placed on pregnancy leave\, sick leave for a\nperiod of at least twenty-five (25) consecutive weeks\, or family leave for a period of at least twenty-five (25) consecutive weeks according to the appropriate procedures in Article 24 during their probationary\nappointment shall be granted a twelve (12) month extension. The extension must be requested by 15 July of the final year of appointment (Article 12.02).
