Responsibilities of the Research Services Head for Career Development Meetings.

The Head shall assess and comment on the four areas of performance outlined in Article 51.83 in a written letter to the Employee sent by 15 June. If the Head assesses performance to be unsatisfactory in any of the four areas, the Head shall provide reasons for the assessment and outline the agreed upon plan for remediation in accordance with Article 55.50(e). The letter shall be copied to the Dean. If the Librarian or Archivist disagrees with the Head’s evaluation of any area, the Librarian or Archivist may append written comments to the letter by 30 June. By 15 July, the Head shall forward the curriculum vitae, the Career Development Report, and the letter with any appended comments to the Dean who shall ensure compliance with the requirements of this Article.
