Continuation as Tenure-Track / Conversion to Continuing CLT

In cases where an Academic Unit has waived the requirement that a position be continued as tenure-track, the Employee who holds the CLT position at the time this requirement is waived shall be reviewed by their Academic Unit for a continuing appointment, the terms of which shall be no less than their current appointment, in accordance with Article 10.08, provided the Employee has five (5) years or more of continuing CLT service or seven (7) years or more of total CLT service. This review shall take place no later than 31 October of the fifth (5th) or seventh (7th) year of service, as appropriate. A continuing appointment means permanency of employment subject to the terms of the Collective Agreement. An Employee who holds a continuing CLT appointment under the terms of a previous Collective Agreement shall be considered already to have such permanency of employment. (Art. 10.09.1(b))
